It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...

This blog will be the recording of my climbing up the uNL ladder at Full Tilt Poker. My name's Keith, and I'm a 23 year old MBA student at the University of Hartford. I work full time for a not-for-profit that does economic development in the area, and I've been playing cards for about 6 months now. I've gone through my breakeven learning curve, and I've netted about 45,000 hands so far. Most of these hands were dealt with like a ridiculous donkey, thinking blind vs blind was all about cojones and calling anything out of position with AJo... I started with a $200 roll that my buddy Dan shipped to me to learn with, as hes a nosebleed HU grinder who coaches me now, and I donked about $150 off between .02/.05 and .05/.1

At this point, I quit the game and started to actually read and learn more about it. Dan said it was pointless for him to train me because it'd be like Lebron James teaching basketball to elementary school kids. I thought I'd understand, but a lot of what he's thinking about is on the 11th level and I'm still halfway there. However, since July, I've grinded that $50 up to a little over $100 in 2nl, and when I hit $125, I will have the requisite 25 buy-ins for 5nl. I've been running about 9bb/100. I'll try to get back with some pictures of the bankroll, and some graphs, and the things that I pick up between cruising forums and videos that help me improve my game.

A big thanks goes out to Dan for his sweat sessions every other week or so. Even if its only a half an hour or so, the lines he guides me through with particular hands are enlightening.
